From July 8 to August 9, Chingshan Elementary School held a fun and exciting summer camp for first and second graders. Many college students who grew up in Changhua came back to help teach and play with the kids.

Each week had a different theme, like English, science, sports, reading, and more. The children learned new things, made new friends, and had a great time every day.

Thanks to the kind college students and teachers, everyone enjoyed a happy and special summer full of learning and fun!

From September to November 2024, third graders at Chingshan Elementary School joined the “Discovering Beauty Through Art” program, part of a Ministry of Education project supported by the Changhua County Government.

Over four weeks, students learned about Taiwanese pastry culture. They read Qing Dynasty stories about tea snacks in Lukang, explored lucky symbols in traditional celebrations, and created their own designs. They also made two local treats—mung bean cakes and phoenix eye cakes.

It was a fun and meaningful learning experience that connected culture, art, and hands-on baking.
